The best bars on the list are the ones from Larabar. If you want soft-baked breakfast  bars without seed oil, then these are the ones for you. If you’re looking for a classic granola bar, then try the Taos granola bars. They do have more PUFA in them, but it’s PUFA from natural sources, not from seed oils.

Energy bars without seed oils and plenty of chocolate!

It can be hard to find a good energy bar with no seed oil in it, but we think the Larabar brand soft-baked bars are great for that! They’re packed with good naturally energizing ingredients and no junk at all. Here’s the ingredients of the small Chocolate Chip Larabar:

You want fruit bars without seed oils?

We tried to find fig bars without seed oils or any additives, but we weren’t able to. It’s not fig flavored, but we did find a good seed oil free fruit bar from the brand “That’s It.” It’s the “That’s It Apple + Coconut 100% Natural Real Fruit Bar.” The ingredients are the following:

  • apples
  • coconuts

It doesn’t get much cleaner than that!

How much PUFA is in each granola bar?

None of these bars have any seed oils in them, but some are made with almonds or other high PUFA ingredients. If you want to keep your PUFA consumption low, keep that in mind. Among other things, we used this resource to estimate how much PUFA could be in each bar.

These are nice, but what about a classic granola bar?

Where’s the granola? Here it is! The Taos granola bars are what you’re looking for. They have nothing bad in them, but they are made with a lot of almonds so they do have a higher PUFA content. Here’s their ingredients:

    • coconut sugar
    • chia seeds
    • coconut oil
    • shredded coconut
    • vanilla beans
    • sea salt

Crispy seed oil free rice bars do exist!

Finally we found a rice bar that advertises that crisp feel we like! It’s free of seed oils and most additives. Here’s the ingredients of the Annie’s Organic Original Crispy Snack Bars:

  • tapioca syrup
  • rice
  • cane sugar
  • quinoa crisps
  • butter
  • navy bean flour
  • sea salt
  • gellan gum
  • brown rice syrup
  • natural flavor
